The Head Start program is administered by the Office of Head Start, Administration for
Children and Families (ACF), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Agencies that receive grant awards directly are referred to as Grantees. Grantees may contract services to other agencies,
and these programs are referred to as Delegates. Search results display the Grantee program name. When applicable, the
Delegate program name is listed below the Grantee program name with a curved arrow to show the relationship to the primary
Grantee (see key below results list). Head Start and Early Head Start programs are identified, as are programs designed
to serve unique populations such as American Indian-Alaska Native and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start.
