Extension of the Effective Date for Head Start Vehicle Requirements

On June 15, 2006, the President signed P.L.109-234 which contains a provision extending the effective date of complying with the requirements of 45 CFR Part 1310.12, which states that children are transported in school buses or allowable alternate vehicles. This Information Memorandum informs grantees and delegate agencies that the extension of the effective date will be from June 30, 2006 to December 30, 2006.
