Boo-zhoo! Welcome! As the Regional Program Manager for the American Indian Alaska Native (AIAN) Tribal Head Start Programs, my staff and I welcome you to our new web page for and about AIAN Head Start Programs. Tribes and Tribal Organizations, including Tribal Colleges, have operated Head Start Programs for over 40 years and have made a huge difference in preparing our children for success in school. We want AIAN Head Start Programs and families to have a place to share the latest information on what has worked well and can be replicated in other communities. Our page is still under construction but feel free to browse and learn about Tribal Head Start, governance and sovereignty.

to the West. By bringing together the traditions, cultures, values, interests,
history, and future of our tribes, teachers and other Head Start and Early Head
Start program staff, we place our sacred ways into little hands that will grow
to hold safely and solemnly the ancestry and the future of our
peoples.
